Privacy Policy

Noble Cash For Car Guys (“we”, “us”, “our”) buys scrap, used and non-running vehicles and equipment across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

SECTION 01What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote on a vehicle, arrange a pickup, pay you, and keep the records the law requires us to keep.

Information you give us

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The pickup address or where the vehicle is located
• Vehicle details — year, make, model, condition, VIN and registration information
• Proof of ownership and government-issued photo identification, which we are required to verify and record before purchasing a vehicle
• Anything else you choose to tell us in a call, text, email or form submission

Information collected automatically

• Standard web analytics — pages visited, referring site, approximate region, browser and device type
• Call records and call recordings when you phone one of our tracking numbers, used to train staff and improve service

SECTION 02Why we collect it

• To prepare and deliver a quote on your vehicle
• To schedule and complete a pickup, and to pay you
• To verify ownership and meet our legal obligations as a vehicle purchaser in British Columbia
• To respond to your questions
• To send you marketing messages, but only where you have given us consent or where the law otherwise permits it
• To understand which of our advertising actually works

SECTION 03Mobile numbers and SMS

If you tick the SMS consent box on our quote form, you are agreeing to receive text messages from us about your quote, pickup scheduling, and occasional offers. Consent is never a condition of selling us a vehicle, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or call us at (236) 864-7616. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

SECTION 04Email and CASL

We send commercial email only where you have given express consent, or where we have implied consent under CASL — for example, because you asked us for a quote, or because you sold us a vehicle within the last two years.

Every commercial message we send identifies us, gives our mailing address, and includes a working unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we will action it within ten business days and will not need to ask you why.

SECTION 05Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to run the business:

• Service providers who operate on our behalf — website hosting, email and SMS delivery, call tracking, and payment processing. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
• Government and regulatory bodies where we are legally required to report a vehicle purchase or transfer, or to respond to a lawful request.
• Our tow operators and drivers, who receive the pickup address and contact details needed to complete the job.

Some of our service providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information may be accessible to foreign courts and law enforcement under the laws of that country.

SECTION 06How long we keep it

Records tied to a completed vehicle purchase — bills of sale, identification records and transfer paperwork — are retained for as long as provincial law requires, and no longer than necessary after that. Quote requests that don't lead to a sale are kept for up to two years. Marketing contact information is kept until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete it.

SECTION 07How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to how sensitive the information is. Access is limited to staff and contractors who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — but if a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as the law requires.

SECTION 08Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we've used it
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete information we no longer have a legal reason to keep
• Stop sending you marketing messages, by any channel

Write to us at info@noblecashforcarguys.ca and we'll respond within thirty days. If you're not satisfied with how we handled it, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

SECTION 09Cookies

Our site uses cookies to keep it working properly and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may stop working correctly if you do.

SECTION 10Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under nineteen, the age of majority in British Columbia. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

SECTION 11Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated directly where we're able to reach you.
